School Reviews

While Alvirne High School has many outstanding teachers in both core academic classes and CTE classes, the Special Education services at Alvirne, and HMS, lack leadership that supports students with learning differences. Some special education teachers are top-notch and others are so mediocre, it is disgraceful. Getting students the supports they need should not be a battle with your school district. Unfortunately, it is a struggle every step of the way with Alvirne. Hopefully, change is coming and students with learning differences will get the support they are entitled to and have a chance to really learn.

Wish I had the ability to see into the future ten years ago, Hudson school system would be on the bottom of the list of schools that I would send my children to. When people ask what is the worse part of living in Hudson, I immediately say the entire school system. One star because you don't have an option of selecting zero.
