The quality of the teaching staff at the Timilty Middle School has been excellent for many years. Turnover among teachers is low. The school has many partnerships, giving access to excellent music, art, sports, and extracurricular activities such as debate. They have an excellent debate team, which is now undefeated for the last three years. It is part of the Boston Debate League. Other partnerships include Mass General Hospital mentoring program for science, and Squashbusters, where students compete in squash and later compete for college scholarships. Both of these are outstanding programs. There are many other opportunities at this school.
