School Reviews

I absolutely hate this school. I suffer from Lyme Disease and vertigo, which debilitates me already. But this school magnifies it 100x more. In fact, I blame the school for some of my issues. There is no AC, so you sit and roast all day long. This makes it next to impossible to try to concentrate & learn. I feel constantly singled out here because of what I wear or how I look. I was body-shamed for being skinny by a social worker and teacher that made false claims about me, which left me in tears. Also, I'm always getting in trouble for what I wear. This school does not allow anyone to express themselves through their style. Some teachers are flat out rude, while others look to start stuff with you. The thought of just coming into this place in the morning gives me an anxiety attack and I cannot wait to leave. I should've selected distance learning for the time being bc nobody gives you a mask break & they don't care if you feel like you're going to pass out. Honestly, I never had a problem with this district until I got to this school. Now I completely understand why people pull their kids out of Longwood once they go into 9th grade. It's to avoid this horrible school. Way to go, Longwood. Principal & superintendent couldn't care less too and nothing ever gets done here. I could go on and on with my frustrations, but I will stop here.

Big school with lots of students but this provides more opportunities to make friendships as well as an abundance of activities, sports and programs to take part in while in a relatively welcoming community

Let me just start by saying this school is horrible, not because of the programs it offers, but because of the tremendous amount of students(nearly 4000) and the students that come from low class families. I spent 9 yrs putting her in private school to avoid this , and when we had to put her in the HS it has been a nightmare.
