School Reviews

5   8/13/2019
Lovell High School provides a great education for those students who are motivated. Their grading policy is one where if you want to learn and get all A's, you can. No excuses. Their goals that the class averages at least a 22 on the ACT provide more instruction for those students who have the ability to score high. We consistently have students who receive the Trustees Scholarship at the University of Wyoming. There are many opportunities for growth for those interesting in going to college as well as students who would like to be prepared to learn a trade. Lovell High School made the decision to keep the vocational classes like welding, auto mechanics and computer-aided drafting. Our music department is stellar with 6 students going to All-State Choir and Band. We have a strong FFA program and consistently do well in sports even though we do jump up and down from 2A classification to 3A and back. We offer cross country, volleyball, wrestling, football, basketball, indoor track, golf, outdoor track. We also have a girls softball program in the area in the spring and summer as well as a local legion baseball team. We have an indoor swimming pool so we have year-round access for swimming lessons for the students in elementary school.
