Ooltewah Middle School has a consistent track record of outstanding success. From students to teachers, this school has proven itself in every area. Outscoring all other Middle Schools in Hamilton County year after year. More teachers recognized for excellence than any other school and more teachers with higher degrees. This school is committed to providing the best education. Students love this school and choose to go there over East Hamilton. Many of the students who did leave to go there were tricked into going with promised and lies. These students were told they would not have a dress code. This from a principal who spent the previous three years at OMS enforcing one of the strictest dress codes in the district. The following year after students could not return to OMS, the principal implemented a dress code. Three years later, OMS still out scores the new school as well as all other middle schools in the district. It is because of consistent leadership and dedicated teachers. I would not have my kids go anywhere else. If I could change anything it would be that the teachers there followed my children to the high school.

This school is doing some amazing things, its become a smaller school recently due to a school split. The best thing that could happen to it, new programs, great sports opportunities for us, and smaller class sizes. It is an old building that needs updating....but a building doesnt make a school, the people in it do and the atmosphere is awesome. Proud to be a part of it!

I was a student in ooltewah middle school and it was a wonderful school. I wish i could stay there but im cant. For all those parents who say we dont do anything....we do. My 7th grade year at oms was the best year i had in grades. The teachers are amazing and they took time after school to help me and my fellow classmates when we needed help. I love this school and would recommend it for everyone!

My daughter has attended OMS for 6th and 7th grade. She hasn't learned much of anything here! Staff is incompetent and communication with parents is terrible! Avoid this school if at all possible!!!
